| You want to make sure that when you come back, your vacation will leave you with great memories of fun, enjoyment, adventure, peace and relaxation. To make certain that everything goes well; there are some things that you have to check first before you go on your trip. Make sure of the following: |

| Have you checked your transportation and accommodations? |
| If you are taking a ship or a plane, check your tickets. Check your inland transportation options and preferences as well. If you have rented a car or a van, confirm your deals with the rental company. Also, make sure that you have booked in advance in a hotel or resort for your accommodations. Verify their accommodation package so you will be aware of what you can expect from them. |

| Are you going on a group or a family vacation? |
| If there are people that will join you in your trip, ask them for updates about their preparations. Note that setbacks and problems with their preparations will cause delays in your vacation as well. |

| Have you prepared your luggage? |
| Check your things as well. Make sure that you have packed all the necessary clothes, personal hygiene stuff, etc. However, avoid bringing too much luggage. If you bring five suitcases and you’re on your own, chances are, you will only find it difficult to bring your things on board, especially when you are transferring from one transportation service to another. |

Make yourself familiar with the place you are about to visit. Before going to a place that you haven’t been to before, check the Internet for tourist information. Get yourself equipped with pertinent information on what activities can be done in the place you are planning to visit, i.e. what hotspots should be visited, what forms of transportation are offered, what kind of people are there, what kind of language is spoken, what currency is used, what cultural practices are strictly observed, how much money should you bring, and what types of clothing that you can wear there. |

| Will everything be okay of you leave them behind? |
| Your cruise vacation is not forever. So, you have to make sure that when you get back to “reality”, everything will still be in its proper order. Make sure that you have checked everything that you are leaving behind (for the meantime) such as your family, your work, your house, your pets, your bills, etc. |
